The Van Eesteren Museum will offer a residency program from 2023. This program allows the museum to respond flexibly to current issues related to architecture, design and urban planning.
In 2023, four creators were invited: designer Yuri Veerman, visual artist Temitayo Ogunbiyi, interior and landscape architect Aura Luz Melis, and architectural historian Ole Bouman. The topics were diverse, Veerman said
about housing shortage in relation to the national right to a home, Aura Luz Melis about the Sloterplas as the central square of Nieuw-West, Ogunbiyi about a sculptural addition to the extant sculpture route along the Sloterplas and Bouman about the significance of Van Eesteren's design by Maison d'Artiste for a current generation. The works will be presented at the end of this year and early 2024.
