Mien Ruys in Nieuw-West: Een tuin voor iedereen

Are you interested in the green city or are you particularly interested in Mien Ruys? Then cycle along to some of her public gardens in Nieuw-West.
Landscape architect Mien Ruys played various roles in building the post-war expansion areas of Amsterdam from the 1950s. She also designed parks and gardens in Nieuw-West and was a supervisor in various neighborhoods. In doing so, she worked closely with architects and urban planners.
Ride along and see what's still recognisable about her original designs. Experience the modernist green language of Nieuw-West and discover Mien Ruys' communal gardens.
